Kolkata: On Saturday, Suvendu Adhikari, the leader of the BJP legislature party, was sworn in as the chief minister of West Bengal, marking a significant milestone as he leads the state's inaugural BJP government.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor RN Ravi during a grand event at Brigade Parade Grounds, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, various Union ministers, chief ministers from NDA-ruled states, and prominent BJP figures.
The BJP achieved a remarkable victory, securing 207 out of 294 seats in the Assembly, thereby concluding the Trinamool Congress's 15-year governance in West Bengal.
