Suspicious Pigeon Captured Near LOC Raises Concerns of Espionage

Suspicious Pigeon Detected Near Jammu

On Saturday, a suspicious pigeon was apprehended near the Line of Control (LOC) in the Akhnoor sector close to Jammu, as reported by officials. A 13-year-old boy named Aryan caught the light brown bird in the village of Kharaah this morning.


Distinctive Features of the Pigeon

The pigeon has two black stripes on each wing and red and yellow rings on its legs, which bear the inscriptions 'Rehmat Sarkar' and 'Rizwan 2025' along with some numbers. Authorities also discovered seals on the bird's wings, and it has been handed over to the Pallanwala police for further investigation.


Concerns Over Espionage or Just a Hobby?

Finding such pigeons in border areas is not uncommon, but security agencies are treating this incident with seriousness. There are suspicions that these birds may be used for sending messages or espionage, a tactic often employed by Pakistan.

Police Response
