Patna, Aug 18: Following the discovery of a mother and her two young daughters dead under mysterious circumstances in Nawada, Bihar, the family of the deceased has raised allegations of murder and is calling for a comprehensive investigation.

The family has lodged a formal complaint at the Bundelkhand police station, accusing unidentified individuals of committing murder and expressing concerns that the woman's in-laws might be implicated.

SHO Dharmraj Kumar has confirmed receipt of the allegations and stated that an investigation is currently underway.

The victims have been identified as Nida Khatoon, aged 30, along with her daughters, Sariya Khatoon, aged 3, and Sitara Khatoon, aged 4.

The trio was discovered deceased on Monday morning in the Darji area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Bundelkhand police station.

According to police reports, Nida was found hanging in an upper room, while her daughters were discovered lifeless on their beds.

It was reported that Nida's in-laws reside on the floor below. The family grew concerned when the house remained locked for an extended period, prompting them to enter the premises.

Authorities are exploring both homicide and suicide possibilities in this case.

Investigators have observed certain conditions at the scene that raise doubts about whether Nida was murdered before being hanged, as parts of her body were found in contact with the bed, suggesting she might have been killed prior to the hanging.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two children have also raised alarms, although the official causes of death have yet to be determined.

Nida's husband, Mohammad Sajid, has been working in Dubai for approximately 11 months and has been notified about the tragic event.

Police have gathered evidence from the scene and have interviewed family members and local residents.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory has also collected crucial evidence.

The bodies have been sent for autopsies, and authorities are awaiting the results to clarify the exact causes of death.

SHO Dharmraj Kumar stated that all angles of the case are being thoroughly examined, and further actions will be determined based on the evidence and autopsy results.
