Details of the Case
According to reports, the victim, 30-year-old Soni, was a teacher at a primary school in Etawah district. She was brought to the trauma center in Firozabad in critical condition on Saturday night, where she was pronounced dead by doctors.


Serious Allegations from the Family
Soni's father, Ramautar Sharma, revealed that she married Shivkishore Dixit from Jaswantnagar, Etawah, on December 7, 2022. He claims that due to their inability to conceive after two years of marriage, her in-laws subjected her to both mental and physical abuse. The family alleges that her in-laws took her to sorcerers and claimed she was possessed, ultimately leading to her being given a toxic substance that caused her demise.


Accusations of Foul Play
Soni's brother has accused the in-laws of staging her death as a suicide by hanging her after she passed away. Following the incident, her family protested vigorously at the hospital. The police arrived at the scene to calm the situation.


Ongoing Investigation
The police have taken possession of the body for an autopsy. A complaint has been filed against Soni's husband, in-laws, and other relatives for murder. An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, during which the in-laws left the premises, prompting objections from the victim's family. The local police chief, Anjeesh Kumar Singh, stated that the autopsy was conducted based on the family's allegations, and further actions will be taken following the report.
