Suspicious Death of Married Woman in Bareilly Sparks Allegations of Dowry Murder
Tragic Incident in Bareilly
A troubling case has emerged from the Subhash Nagar area of Bareilly district, where a married woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Following the incident, the woman's family has accused her husband and in-laws of committing murder for dowry. The police have registered a case based on the complaint and have initiated an investigation.
Shalu, the brother of the deceased, claimed that since her marriage, Shalini had been pressured to bring a car as dowry. He reported that after her marriage to a man named Akshay on February 19, everything seemed fine initially, but the behavior of her in-laws changed shortly thereafter.
Alarming Phone Call
According to Shalu, on the morning of May 2, he received a distressed phone call from Shalini, who was crying and expressed that her in-laws were preventing her from visiting her parental home. She conveyed that she felt her life was in danger and pleaded for help. Shortly after, Shalu received a call from Akshay, who claimed that Shalini was unwell and unable to speak. Alarmed, Shalu rushed to his sister's home, where he found her lifeless body, indicating that the situation was far from normal.
Legal Action Taken
Upon learning about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for autopsy. Inspector Satish Kumar Nain stated that based on the brother's complaint, a case has been filed against Akshay, his mother Geeta, and two others, along with unidentified individuals, under charges of dowry murder and other relevant sections of the law.
The police have assured that they are thoroughly investigating all aspects of the case. The exact cause of death will be determined once the autopsy report is available, and inquiries are ongoing with the named suspects.
