Sushmita Sen Inspires Youth at I.I.M.U.N. Event
Empowering Messages from Bollywood Stars
Mumbai, July 16: Bollywood star Sushmita Sen recently captivated a youthful audience during the Role Model Series organized by I.I.M.U.N., where she shared an impactful message centered on self-acceptance, individuality, and self-worth.
The former Miss Universe urged students to embrace their true selves while leading with empathy and confidence. In her address, Sen remarked, “You will encounter people who will compliment your beauty, but remember, it transcends physical appearance. If enhancing your physical self boosts your confidence, pursue it without heeding others' opinions. This is your life and identity; embrace who you are to avoid judging others.”
On July 15, alongside actress Vidya Balan and former Union Cabinet Minister Smriti Irani, Sushmita Sen engaged with students at the 10th edition of I.I.M.U.N.’s Role Model Series, held in Bandra and moderated by the organization’s founder, Rishabh Shah.
Vidya Balan, while discussing women's empowerment and gender equality, stated, “I believe we are all created equal. While men may possess more physical strength, women often exhibit higher emotional intelligence.”
Reflecting on her experience, Balan expressed, “Interacting with children from various age groups was delightful. I made an effort to connect with them using Gen Z language, and we shared many laughs. The atmosphere was filled with joy.”
She also conveyed her appreciation for I.I.M.U.N.'s dedication to fostering awareness and confidence among the youth, stating, “I always enjoy being around children. IIMUN is doing remarkable work, and their efforts over the years are helping young people become global citizens, which is wonderful.”
The event aimed to create meaningful interactions between inspiring figures and young audiences.
