On Sunday, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, accompanied by his family, visited the Mata Bajreshwari Temple in Kangra to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga as Navratri commenced.
In a conversation with the media, Raina expressed his joy about visiting the temple with his mother and sister, highlighting the significance of the day since his mother hails from Himachal Pradesh. He remarked, "This day holds special meaning for both my mother and me. I have come here for Navratri with my family. I have been worshipping Mata Rani since my childhood, and her blessings have always been with me."
When asked about his prayers, Raina shared that he wished for the happiness and health of everyone. He also prayed for the ongoing blessings of his parents and sought the goddess's grace for all. The temple was bustling with devotees on the first day of Navratri, with pilgrims traveling from various regions to offer their prayers.
