The standout performances came from Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan, but the match was notably marred by Punjab's poor fielding. The visiting team dropped three straightforward catches, allowing Hyderabad to post a formidable total of 235 runs for the loss of just four wickets.

Punjab Kings displayed a lack of discipline on the flat pitch in Hyderabad.
