In the 45th match of IPL 2026, renowned spinner and KKR bowler Sunil Narine reached a significant milestone. He matched the records of Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, becoming only the third bowler in the league's history to claim 200 wickets, and the first among foreign players. Narine is now the third-highest wicket-taker in IPL history.



Against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Narine clean bowled Salil Arora with a remarkable delivery to secure his 200th IPL wicket. He added another wicket in the same innings, finishing with two wickets for 31 runs in four overs, having bowled the first over for KKR.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bat first, but they were restricted to just 165 runs in 19 overs. At one point, they were at 105 runs with only one wicket down, but they lost nine wickets for just 60 runs thereafter. Narine and Kartik Tyagi each took three wickets, while Vaibhav Arora, Cameron Green, and Anukul Roy collectively claimed 11 wickets.


Travis Head played a blistering innings for Hyderabad, scoring 61 runs off 28 balls, while Ishan Kishan contributed 42 runs from 29 balls.
