Successful Health Check-Up Camp Held in Dharamshala

A recent health check-up camp in Dharamshala, organized by the local Health Department and Rotary Club, provided free screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and chest X-rays. With around 100 participants, the event aimed to promote disease prevention and healthy living. The medical team, supported by local health officials, emphasized the importance of regular health camps to enhance community access to healthcare services. This initiative highlights the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in improving public health.
 

Health Initiative in Dharamshala


A successful health check-up camp took place in Dharamshala, organized collaboratively by the local Health Department and the Rotary Club. This initiative provided complimentary services for blood pressure, blood sugar, and chest X-ray assessments, with around 100 individuals participating in the health screenings.


The medical team, which included MO Dr. Ritika Arora, FHW Suman Bala, CHO Tamana, Pushplata, and ASHA workers Sakina, Deepika, Bobby, and Ranjana, not only performed health evaluations but also educated attendees on disease prevention and the significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.


The event benefited from the valuable guidance and support of CMO Dr. Vivek Karol, MOH Dr. R.K. Sood, and BMO Dr. Kavita Thakur, whose contributions were highly regarded. Additionally, lunch for the health staff was generously provided by Rotarian K.G. Sood, for which the organizing committee expressed their appreciation.


Representatives from the Rotary Club, including Rotarian Dr. Vijay Sharma, Rotarian Varinder Parmar, Club Secretary Rotarian Ajay Sharma, and Rotarian Dr. Satish Sood, highlighted the importance of holding such camps regularly to ensure that healthcare services are accessible to the broader community.


The camp concluded with heartfelt thanks to the Health Department, Rotary Club members, and all partners involved for their collective efforts in making the event a success.
