Successful Conclusion of Nurpur Badminton Carnival 2026
Nurpur Badminton Carnival 2026 Concludes with Enthusiasm
The three-day Nurpur Badminton Carnival 2026, hosted by Shri Brij Raj Sports Club, wrapped up with a vibrant closing ceremony. Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, the Member of Parliament for Kangra-Chamba, served as the Chief Guest for the event.
In his address, Dr. Bhardwaj praised the organizers for their efforts and encouraged the youth to engage in sports as a means to steer clear of societal issues such as drug abuse. He motivated the athletes to strive for excellence and bring pride to both the state and the nation.
Ishan Mahajan, the Club Secretary, expressed his appreciation to the MP, recalling his earlier commitment to donate a badminton mat, which he exceeded by providing two mats, significantly enhancing the sport's presence in the area. He also sought assistance in establishing a multi-sports and Olympic Games Academy in Nurpur, to which Dr. Bhardwaj promised to discuss with the Union Sports Minister in Delhi.
During the ceremony, Dr. Bhardwaj received a shawl, cap, and memento from club members as a token of appreciation.
