The third meeting of BRICS transport ministers, held in Nagpur, Maharashtra, under India's BRICS presidency for 2026, has successfully concluded. According to an official statement, the four-day meeting wrapped up with the unanimous adoption of a comprehensive ministerial declaration.


The declaration outlines shared ideas and frameworks for various key areas, including infrastructure circularity, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), decarbonization of transport, urban mobility centers, logistics supply chain collaboration, and cooperation on the BRICS railway research network. The statement highlighted that through consensus and a participatory approach, the transport ministers and heads of delegations reached an agreement that encompasses collective commitments across all priority areas.
