Block-Level Girls’ Under-19 Sports Meet Concludes

The final ceremony for the Block-Level Girls’ Under-19 Sports Meet took place today at the Government Senior Secondary School (Excellent), Ladodi. The event saw participation from local panchayat members, the School Management Committee, and the School Adoption Committee.


According to Principal Atul Nag, the sports competitions were held from September 6 to 8, featuring nearly 300 players from 36 schools competing in kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton, volleyball, and chess.



  • Kabaddi & Kho-Kho: Ladodi School took home the championship, while Chaunki School was the runner-up.


  • Volleyball: Hatli Jamwala School showcased an impressive performance.


  • Badminton: Thoda Public School won the top prize.


  • Chess: Government Senior Secondary School Jachh emerged victorious.



Exceptional players from these competitions will be chosen to represent their schools in the upcoming district-level competitions.


The winners were honored by the school management and esteemed guests. The event was hosted by Ruchi Gupta.


Notable attendees included Principal Atul Nag, Principal Karm Chand Deol from Boys’ School Nurpur, former Principal Narottam Dhiman, School Adoption Committee member Ashwani Pathania, local society representative Basant Singh, Panchayat Pradhan Sanjay, Ward Member Munish, SMC Chairperson Renu Pathania, Durga Chauhan, Narendra Sharma, along with various principals and sports instructors from Nurpur block schools.


The event wrapped up with commendations for the athletes' skills and encouragement to pursue excellence in future competitions.
