Support for Student Protest in Barmer

Ashutosh Ranka, a spokesperson for the Cockroach People's Party (CAZPA), recently expressed his support for students from a government school in Barmer, Rajasthan, who protested due to a lack of teachers. He emphasized the importance of citizens raising their voices for their rights. Ranka shared a video of the protest on social media platform 'X', stating, 'We demand our rights. We are not begging from anyone.'

He praised the determination of the students, encouraging them to continue their fight, saying, 'Stay strong like this. This is our country. Together, we will make it better.'

On July 27, students from the Government Higher Secondary School in Bankalpura, Solankiyon Ki Dhani, along with their parents, staged a sit-in outside their school. They claimed that their education was suffering due to the shortage of teachers.

The students alleged that despite repeatedly complaining to the authorities, no effective action had been taken. They pointed out that nearly two months into the new academic session, the school still faced a significant lack of teachers.

Following the protest, District Education Officer Devaram Chaudhary met with the students and their parents. After a two-hour discussion, the students agreed to end their protest after receiving assurances that three teachers would be appointed immediately, with additional subject-specific teachers to be arranged later.
