Students Celebrate Van Mahotsav with Tree Plantation at Government Arya College

In a vibrant celebration of Van Mahotsav, students from the Hindi Department at Government Arya College in Nurpur engaged in a tree plantation drive. Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Diljit Singh, the event emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility. With around 40-50 students participating, they planted various saplings, including Tulsi and marigold, showcasing their commitment to a greener future. Assistant Professor Dr. Anil Kumar highlighted the cultural significance of this initiative, reminding everyone of their duty towards Mother Earth. This event not only aimed to beautify the campus but also to instill a sense of responsibility among the youth.

Tree Plantation Drive at Government Arya College

In celebration of Van Mahotsav, students from the Hindi Department at Government Arya College in Nurpur organized a tree planting event within the college grounds.

The initiative was launched under the leadership of Principal Dr. Diljit Singh, who spoke about the importance of plants for medicinal purposes. He urged everyone to take part in planting at least one sapling, suggesting that such efforts could lead to a greener and more joyful planet. He praised the students for their commitment to this important cause.

Assistant Professor Dr. Anil Kumar also shared his thoughts, calling the plantation drive a meaningful endeavor by the Hindi Department, which serves as a valuable contribution to the environment. He emphasized cultural teachings, stating, “Mother is our first teacher, and Mother Earth simplifies and enriches our lives.” He noted that this initiative is not just a routine task but a reminder of our responsibilities towards the planet, commending the students for their actions that could foster positive changes in their lives.

Approximately 40–50 students actively participated, planting saplings of Tulsi, marigold, rose, and various other species around the campus. Faculty members from different departments also joined in to support this commendable effort.
