Dhaka/New Delhi: On Monday, Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma held discussions with Bangladesh's Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, emphasizing India's commitment to fostering positive, constructive, and people-focused relations with Bangladesh, grounded in shared interests.


This meeting marks a significant step as both nations strive to enhance their bilateral relationship following Rahman's ascension to the prime ministership after his party's success in the February elections.


Previously, relations had faced challenges during the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus.
