A significant review meeting was convened today for the Anti-Drug Committees (NNCs) from the highly sensitive red-zone panchayats of Beli Mahantan, Majra, and Damtal, under the jurisdiction of Nurpur Police District. The session was led by the Deputy Commissioner of Kangra.



  • Attendees included the Superintendent of Police for Nurpur, the SDM of Indora, the SDPO of Indora, the Station House Officer of Damtal, committee members, and local residents.

  • The meeting assessed the progress made by the committees over the last three weeks. The Deputy Commissioner urged the committees to conduct regular meetings, provide action reports, and actively engage in efforts to combat drug abuse.

  • The Superintendent of Police emphasized the need for stringent actions under NDPS laws, the identification of local drug trafficking networks, and robust measures against offenders.
