Despite welcoming a son during their marriage, the couple's disputes persisted. As their arguments intensified, the matter reached the police and the Women Protection Cell. During counseling, the husband shocked everyone by stating that his wife's infrequent bathing was the primary reason for his request for divorce.
Husband's Claims
The husband told the counselor, "Madam, my wife does not bathe daily, and I find her body odor unbearable. I cannot live with her anymore. Please help me get a divorce." In contrast, the wife accused him of harassing her based on unfounded claims. The counselor attempted to mediate and resolve the issues between them.

This is not the first instance of such a case; a similar situation occurred two years ago in the Masaurhi area of Patna. In that case, the wife accused her husband of domestic violence and sought help from the women's commission. The husband claimed that his wife's refusal to bathe was a source of conflict. The commission advised the wife to improve her hygiene habits and instructed the husband to refrain from violence.
