Statewide Digital Survey for OBC Political Representation in Rajasthan
Rajasthan's OBC Political Representation Survey
In Jaipur, the Rajasthan State Other Backward Classes (OBC) Commission is conducting a thorough and empirical study regarding the political representation of OBCs in the state.
As part of this initiative, a statewide digital survey will be carried out using the 'Rajdhara Survey Mobile App' from July 10 to July 23, 2026, across all districts. The survey aims to gather current social, educational, economic, demographic, and political representation data related to OBC families, enabling the commission to present scientifically grounded recommendations to the state government.
Commission Secretary Ashok Kumar Jain stated that the survey will be conducted entirely through digital means. Approximately 51,168 enumerators will collect information door-to-door using the app developed by the commission. The entire process will be monitored online to ensure data accuracy, transparency, and reliability.
To facilitate the successful execution of the survey, around 82 nodal and assistant nodal officers at the district level, along with approximately 765 nodal and assistant nodal officers at the block level, have been trained via video conferencing as of July 7. Additionally, the enumerators have received necessary administrative arrangements and training on the Rajdhara Survey Mobile App with the help of district and block administrations.
The commission has requested all district collectors, local bodies, and relevant departments to ensure effective coordination and support for the survey. An Additional District Collector (ADM) has been appointed as the district coordinator for this task, and instructions have been issued to provide the enumerators with the required administrative and technical assistance at the regional level.
The commission urges OBC families in the state to provide accurate and complete information to the survey teams, thereby actively contributing to this significant effort. It also hopes that all recognized political parties, representatives, social organizations, and citizens will offer constructive support for the survey's success, ensuring the availability of objective and reliable data.
The commission believes that the data obtained from this statewide survey will serve as a crucial basis for formulating factual, transparent, and legally compliant recommendations regarding the political representation of OBCs in local bodies, in accordance with court directives.
