Sri Lanka Cricket Announces 46 Players for National Contracts 2026-2027
Sri Lanka Cricket Confirms National Player Contracts
On Tuesday, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) revealed that a total of 46 players have been chosen to receive National Player Contracts for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. The contract period is set to commence on April 1, 2026, and conclude on March 31, 2027, as stated in the SLC media announcement.
The players have been classified into categories A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and Central Contract, based on various factors including their performance, consistency, fitness levels, potential, and the strategic needs of the national teams.
These contracts are designed to provide the selected athletes with essential support, infrastructure, and resources, enabling them to excel in their performance while also contributing to the long-term growth of cricket in Sri Lanka.
Newly included players in the National Player Contracts are Kamil Mishara, Lasith Croospulle, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, Isitha Wijesundera, Wanuja Sahan, Dilum Sudeera, and Tharindu Rathnayake.
