South Africa's Commanding Victory

In a decisive performance, South Africa triumphed over Namibia by nine wickets in the third ODI held at the Namibia Cricket Ground on Sunday, securing a clean sweep of the series with a 3-0 record.

Chasing a target of 157 runs, South Africa made quick work of the chase, finishing at 157/1 in just 21.3 overs.

Fortuin's Bowling Prowess

Namibia, after winning the toss and choosing to bat, faced challenges against South Africa's disciplined bowling. Early breakthroughs by Kwena Maphaka and Corbin Bosch left Namibia struggling at 19/2.

A partnership of 53 runs between Alexander Busing-Volschenk (31) and Louren Steenkamp (23) provided some stability before Fortuin dismissed Steenkamp in the 21st over, leading to a run-out of Volschenk in the same over.

Fortuin continued his impressive spell by taking out Namibia's captain Gerhard Erasmus (3) shortly after, contributing to a middle-order collapse. He concluded his spell with remarkable figures of 4/33 from 10 overs, also claiming Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton (4) and Waldo Smith (2).

Zane Green managed to score 33 runs off 42 balls, but Namibia was ultimately bowled out for 156 in 36.2 overs. Maphaka recorded figures of 2/18, while Bosch finished with 1/24.

South Africa's Swift Response

South Africa's batting display was equally impressive, with Hermann and Esterhuizen launching an aggressive attack. They formed a formidable opening partnership of 150 runs in just 21 overs.

Hermann scored 77 runs off 59 balls, hitting 13 boundaries before being dismissed by Waldo Smith with only 7 runs remaining for victory.

Esterhuizen remained not out at 68 runs from 68 balls, including four fours and three sixes. Dewald Brevis capped off the win with a six off his second ball, allowing South Africa to reach the target with 29.3 overs to spare.

This victory marked a comprehensive 3-0 series win for South Africa, following a 99-run win in the first ODI via the DLS method and a 157-run victory in the second match.
