The Unlikely Bond Between a Man and a Crow

Cigarette addiction is often regarded as one of the toughest habits to break. Many individuals enjoy smoking in social settings with friends. It's not uncommon to see friendships blossom over shared cigarettes or drinks. However, have you ever heard of a friendship formed between a man and a crow due to smoking? Today, we share a peculiar and fascinating story.

Cigarettes Spark a Unique Friendship

This story takes place in England, where a man named Pete from East Sussex developed a remarkable friendship with a crow. Surprisingly, their bond was forged over cigarettes. Pete and the crow would spend hours smoking together, to the extent that the crow would snatch cigarettes right from Pete's mouth. But then, an unexpected event shattered Pete's heart.

Pete's friendship with the crow began in 2020 during the global lockdown. With jobs on hold and everyone feeling idle, Pete spent much of his time smoking in his garden. One day, while enjoying a cigarette, a crow appeared, seemingly eager to join in. Pete, in a moment of generosity, offered the crow a cigarette, and soon they were both enjoying the experience.

Did Excessive Smoking Lead to the Crow's Demise?

Pete recalls that the crow seemed to enjoy its first taste of a cigarette, quickly becoming addicted. Whenever Pete lit up in the garden, the crow would come by, and they would share a smoke. This unusual habit solidified their friendship, and Pete affectionately named the crow Craig. Their companionship continued for months until one day, the crow stopped visiting.

Worried about the crow's absence, Pete feared that excessive smoking might have led to its demise. He had taken numerous photos of their smoking sessions together, capturing over 6,000 images with his unique partner. Pete even shared these moments on a Twitter account dedicated to Craig.
