He questioned their utility, believing they could neither serve in the army nor contribute to the welfare of the state. Instead, he viewed them as a burden, often sick and unproductive.

The King's Decree to Expel the Elders

Days passed, and the king grew increasingly bothered by the elderly citizens. He issued a decree mandating that all elders must leave the kingdom. This order was enforced strictly, resulting in the departure of all elderly individuals. However, one young man, deeply attached to his father, decided to hide him in a basement, secretly caring for him.

A Famine Strikes the Kingdom

Years went by, and then a severe famine struck the land. Food became scarce, and the people faced starvation. With the melting of snow, the situation worsened, and no one knew how to cultivate the land due to the absence of wise and experienced elders.
