The Story of a Son's Realization

In a certain village, a son lived with his elderly father and wife. As the father aged, his health began to decline, leading to increased burdens on the son's wife, who had to take on more responsibilities. One day, she suggested to her husband that they should place his father in a nursing home, stating that she could no longer care for him and that arrangements should be made for him to stay there even during festivals.

The son agreed to his wife's request and took his father to the nursing home. However, he realized he needed to inform the staff that his father should remain there during the holidays as well. Thus, he returned to the facility.

Upon his arrival, he was surprised to see his father joyfully embracing the director of the nursing home, both appearing very happy together. The son was taken aback by how quickly they had formed a bond.

After a short while, his father went to his room, and the son spoke with the director. He inquired how long the director had known his father. The director revealed that he had known him for 30 years, as the father had adopted a child from the home three decades ago.

Realizing that the child was himself, the son understood the depth of his father's sacrifice. His father had dedicated everything for his happiness, even agreeing to stay in the nursing home for his sake. The son felt remorse for his actions and reflected on how he had wronged such a noble person.

Feeling regretful, he apologized to his father and brought him back home, explaining to his wife that she would now take care of her father-in-law.

Moral of the Story

This tale teaches us that parents often sacrifice their own comforts for the sake of their children. However, when parents grow old, children sometimes forget their responsibilities towards them.
