A Journey to Different Hells

Once a man passed away and found himself in hell. To his surprise, he discovered that individuals could choose which country's hell to visit.

Curious, he decided to check out the American hell. Upon arrival, he asked the guard at the gate, “What happens in American hell?”

The guard replied:

First, you will be strapped to an electric chair and shocked for an hour.

Next, you will be laid on a bed of nails for another hour.

Finally, a monster will whip your injured back fifty times.

Frightened by this, the man moved on to Russian hell, where he received the same grim details. He continued to visit hells from various countries, only to hear the same terrifying punishments.

Eventually, he arrived at Indian hell. To his astonishment, there was a long line of people eagerly waiting to enter.

Thinking that the punishments must be less severe here, he asked the guard, “What are the punishments?”

The guard responded:

Electric chair shocks,

Bed of nails,

And fifty lashes.

Confused, the man exclaimed, “But these are the same as in other countries! Why is there such a crowd?”

The guard chuckled and explained:

The electric chair is the same, but there’s no power.

The nails from the bed have been sold off by someone.

And the person who is supposed to whip you is a lateral entry employee – he comes, signs in, and then goes for tea and snacks.

If he happens to return early, he might give you one or two lashes but writes down fifty.
