Smriti Mandhana, the vice-captain of the Indian women's cricket team, has made headlines by surpassing the legendary Mithali Raj to become the leading run-scorer in women's international cricket across all formats. The 30-year-old achieved this milestone during the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 Group A match against Hong Kong at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday. Mandhana's remarkable performance included a stunning 124 runs off 64 balls, bringing her total to 10,880 runs, eclipsing Mithali Raj's previous record of 10,868 runs.
