Motorists Come to the Rescue
One of the first witnesses, Zayra Garza, was driving her colleagues home when she stumbled upon the crash. She immediately stopped her vehicle upon seeing the burning plane and began recording the emergency. Garza observed someone inside the cockpit trying to break a window to escape.
Within moments, several motorists left their cars and rushed towards the wreckage. Witnesses attempted to break the cockpit window from the outside while others looked for ways to assist those trapped inside. Garza mentioned that her husband joined the rescue efforts as bystanders worked against the clock and the intensifying flames. Shortly after, the aircraft's door opened, and several occupants managed to escape. Garza noted that three individuals, seemingly teenagers, were the first to exit, followed by a person believed to be the pilot. Another crew member was later seen helping an apparently unconscious individual from the aircraft.
"It felt like something out of a movie. I was in disbelief," Garza recalled. "My main concern was the fire; I feared it could explode at any moment."
Investigation in Progress
Authorities have yet to confirm the number of people aboard the aircraft during the crash. Additionally, details regarding the injuries of those inside the plane have not been disclosed. Police reported no immediate injuries among motorists on the highway at the time of the incident. This crash has garnered significant attention due to its unusual location, with the aircraft landing directly on a busy roadway instead of near an airport or open space.
