Major Arms Recovery in Imphal Valley

A substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition has been discovered in the Imphal Valley of Manipur, as reported by local police on Thursday. The authorities revealed that on Wednesday, they recovered a .303 rifle, a double-barreled shotgun, a single-barreled shotgun, and a 9mm pistol from the Loitang Sandum Hill in the Imphal West district.


In addition to these firearms, the seized items included 118 cartridges, a grenade, eight detonators, and eight various magazines. Furthermore, police reported the recovery of a 12-bore single-barreled shotgun, a 9mm SMG carbine with a magazine, two grenades, and an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing approximately two kilograms from the foothills of Nagiyaan Hill near Keirao Wangkhom in the Imphal East district.
