Historic Claim for Government Formation

Shubhendu Adhikari recently met with West Bengal Governor R.N. Ravi to assert his claim for forming the government. The West Bengal Assembly is illuminated in saffron light ahead of the historic oath-taking ceremony for the state's first BJP government. After being elected as the leader of the BJP legislative party, Adhikari expressed gratitude towards the party leadership and newly elected legislators. He stated, 'I sincerely thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for placing their trust in me.'


Commitment to Fulfill Modi's Promises

Adhikari reiterated his commitment to strictly adhere to BJP policies, signaling his dedication to the party's national leadership. He assured that all promises made by Prime Minister Modi would be fulfilled without fail. 'As Prime Minister Modi has said, trust is now established. I will strictly follow BJP policies and work towards fulfilling Modi's promises in the state,' he declared amidst applause from party legislators and supporters. He emphasized the necessity of a close partnership between the center and the state for Bengal's development, assuring BJP legislators that all commitments made in the party's Bengal manifesto would be systematically implemented to meet public expectations.


Investigation into Corruption and Crimes Against Women

Revealing the government's initial steps, Adhikari announced an investigation into alleged corruption and crimes against women during the previous Trinamool Congress government. He stated, 'An inquiry commission led by a retired judge will investigate all corruption cases. The commission will also look into incidents of atrocities against women, ensuring that the guilty are punished.' Adhikari highlighted that the BJP government's aim is to rebuild Bengal through positive governance and regain the trust of over sixty percent of the population.
