Shubhankar Sharma's Steady Performance

Shubhankar Sharma carded an even-par 72, preserving his two-shot lead after the third round of the Rs 2 crore Kapil Dev Invitational Tour Championship held at the Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort in Greater Noida. The 30-year-old golfer from Chandigarh, with scores of 68-65-72, started the day with a four-stroke lead, finishing at 11-under 205 after mixing five birdies with three bogeys and a double bogey.


Emerging Competitors

Manoj S from Bengaluru (70-71-66) and Italy's Michele Ortolani (72-70-65) are now Shubhankar's closest competitors, both at nine-under 207. Manoj improved from sixth to a tie for second place after a flawless round of 66, featuring six birdies. Ortolani climbed from seventh place with an impressive seven-under 65, the lowest score of the day.


Yuvraj Sandhu's Performance

Yuvraj Sandhu, last year's DP World PGTI Order of Merit champion from Chandigarh, recorded a three-under 69, placing him fourth at seven-under 209.


Shubhankar's Reflections

Shubhankar started strong with four birdies on the front nine and another on the 10th hole. However, he faced challenges on the back nine, resulting in three bogeys and a double bogey, which cut his lead to two strokes.


"It was an up-and-down day," Shubhankar remarked. "I began well with four birdies on the front nine, but the back nine was disappointing due to missed opportunities and dropped shots. Nevertheless, I'm still playing well and looking forward to the final round. I hope to maintain the momentum from my front nine throughout all 18 holes tomorrow."


Other Notable Standings

Brashwarpal Singh from Chandigarh (72-65-73) and Khalin Joshi from Bengaluru (72-67-71) shared fifth place at six-under 210. Joshi, a four-time DP World PGTI winner this season, began the week in second place in the Race to the DP World India Championship.


Saptak Talwar, the current leader in the Race to the DP World India Championship, moved up from tied 31st to tied 25th with a score of three-over 219.


Pro-Am Results

The Pro-Am event held on Friday was won by the team of professional Tapendra Ghai and amateur Prem Duggal, who scored 48 Stableford Points.
