Shortlist of Candidates for CEO Position at Ram Janmabhoomi Trust Announced

Candidates must adhere to strict Hindu traditions and be within a specific age range. The selection process comes after serious allegations surfaced, prompting the establishment of a Special Investigation Team by the Uttar Pradesh government. CEO Selection Process for Ram Janmabhoomi Trust

On Monday, sources revealed that 18 candidates have been shortlisted for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Over 5,300 individuals applied for this role, with a preference likely given to those possessing administrative experience. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday in the temple premises, conducted by a panel that includes former Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi, and scientist Suresh Haware, who has previously served as the chairman of the Shirdi Sai Baba Trust. The CEO will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of the temple, especially as investigations into alleged misappropriation of donations involving temple staff and officials are ongoing.

According to sources, it is essential for the selected candidate to adhere strictly to Hindu traditions and practices, as well as to be a vegetarian and abstain from alcohol and drugs. The age requirement for this position has been set between 50 and 70 years. Following the emergence of allegations regarding misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple in the first week of June, the Trust's officials decided to appoint a CEO. The Uttar Pradesh government established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on June 13 to investigate these allegations, initially granting them 15 days to report. After the SIT submitted its preliminary report on June 23, an FIR was filed on June 25, leading to the arrest of eight individuals: Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramashankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava, and Ramashankar Yadav, also known as Tinnu Yadav.

During the investigation, police recovered significant amounts of cash from several accused, with the highest amount of ₹20.39 lakh found with Shukla, along with gold, silver, and foreign currency. Amid the ongoing investigation into the alleged misappropriation of temple donations, the Trust has shortlisted 18 candidates from over 5,300 applications for the CEO position, with interviews set to occur on Tuesday and Wednesday.
