However, just before the ceremony, the groom's betrayal shattered all hopes. The village of Neem Kheriya, which was supposed to echo with wedding bells on Monday night, was instead filled with silence and sobs. Reports indicate that Pushpendra, son of Jagjeevan Ram from Ambe Nagar Colony, was set to marry a local girl named Neha (name changed).

The wedding was scheduled for April 27, and by Monday evening, the atmosphere was festive. Women sang traditional songs, while children and relatives danced to the DJ's tunes. The bride's family had even procured the bridal attire after receiving confirmation from the groom's side.

As the clock approached 8 PM, anticipation grew for the arrival of the groom's procession. However, by 9 PM, when the procession had yet to arrive, Neha's family contacted the groom's uncle, only to be informed that the groom was missing and might have been kidnapped.

Upon further investigation by the bride's family, it was revealed that there was no abduction; instead, the groom had eloped with a female relative. Reports suggest that Pushpendra intended to marry this other woman, a fact that the groom's family was already aware of. This revelation sent shockwaves through the wedding preparations.
