New Developments in the Murder Case
In the ongoing investigation of the murder case involving Devkrishna Purohit in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, significant disclosures have emerged from Priyanka Purohit's mother-in-law. She revealed that Priyanka confessed to giving her own and her mother-in-law's jewelry to the assailants to protect her husband. However, police later recovered Priyanka's jewelry, while her mother-in-law's jewelry remains missing.
Details of the Murder Plot
The case has garnered attention since the murder of Devkrishna on the night of April 7. It is alleged that Priyanka conspired with her lover, Kamlesh Purohit, to orchestrate her husband's murder, offering a contract of one lakh rupees for the act. Following the incident, Priyanka attempted to portray it as a robbery.
As the police investigation unfolded, the truth came to light, leading to the arrest of both Priyanka and Kamlesh, while another suspect, Surendra Bhati, remains at large. A video of Priyanka's behavior post-incident went viral, showcasing her dramatic portrayal of the robbery.
Confrontation Captured on Video
In a recently surfaced video, Priyanka is seen arguing with her husband and mother-in-law. The footage was recorded by the deceased's sister, Jyoti. In one clip, Priyanka is caught in a heated exchange, initially trying to stop Jyoti from filming before angrily snatching her phone.
Another video shows Priyanka disputing with Devkrishna about her phone conversations, which she denies. The room reveals two separate beds, indicating frequent conflicts between the couple, sometimes forcing Devkrishna to sleep on the floor.
Allegations of Assault
Devkrishna's mother has also made alarming claims. She stated that after the incident, Priyanka was dressed in a bra and underwear, covered by a maxi dress. Upon her arrival, Priyanka claimed that her dignity had been violated, alleging that she was fabricating a story after orchestrating her husband's murder. She demanded the death penalty for Priyanka and her lover.
Furthermore, she recounted Priyanka's admission of giving away their jewelry to the attackers, while her own jewelry was found with Priyanka.
Priyanka's Alleged Affair
The family has also disclosed that Priyanka had been involved in an extramarital affair since 2020. She reportedly spent most of her time at her parental home, returning infrequently to her in-laws, and conflicts were common whenever she did.
