Tragic Incident in Vaishali District

Vaishali News: A shocking incident has emerged from the Vaishali district of Bihar, where a devar allegedly murdered his pregnant bhabhi in a brutal manner. The incident took place in the village of Mauna Vishanpur, located in the Belser police station area. The victim, who was reportedly also his girlfriend, was strangled to death. Disturbingly, after committing the crime, the accused called the police to report the incident, attempting to divert suspicion away from himself and implicate the victim's family.

The deceased has been identified as Radha Kumari, who was married to Deepak Patel. Reports indicate that Radha's husband works in Pune. At the time of the incident, other family members were out in the fields harvesting wheat. Taking advantage of the empty house, the neighbor and devar, Sahil Patel, entered the home. Mahesh Patel, the victim's brother-in-law, claims that Sahil attempted to force himself on Radha and, when she resisted, strangled her with a rope. Radha was three months pregnant and had two children from her previous marriage.

A Deceptive Scheme to Mislead Authorities

After the murder, Sahil Patel executed a cunning plan. He contacted the police himself to report the woman's death, aiming to frame the victim's in-laws and establish his innocence. However, during the investigation, evidence of extensive phone conversations between the victim and the accused was discovered, deepening the police's suspicions against him.

Police Investigation and Actions

Upon receiving the report, SDPO-2 Gopal Mandal and a police team arrived at the scene. The body was seized and sent for post-mortem examination at Hajipur Sadar Hospital. According to SDPO Gopal Mandal, the police were alerted to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman's death. Marks of injury were found on the victim's neck. Relatives from Muzaffarpur have also arrived at the scene. The official cause of death will be confirmed following the post-mortem report. Meanwhile, efforts to apprehend the accused are ongoing, and the incident has left the local community in shock.
