A Disturbing Incident in Gurugram

Gurugram: A shocking incident has emerged from Gurugram, Haryana, where a neighbor turned into a foe, leading to a tragic murder. The motive? A woman. Yes, the case revolves around an illicit affair that resulted in a friend killing his own companion. Disturbingly, the idea for the murder was inspired by the crime show 'Crime Patrol' and the film 'Drishyam'. Let's delve into the details of this case.

Vikram, a contractor for a garment export company, was murdered in Gurugram. The perpetrator was none other than his friend, who was not alone in this heinous act; Vikram's wife, Soni, was involved from the kidnapping to the murder and the disposal of the body, in collaboration with her boyfriend, Ravinder.

The Full Story Unfolds

Vikram hailed from Nawada district in Bihar and lived in a rented house in Dundaheda village, Gurugram, with his wife Soni and their two children. On the morning of July 26, 2025, he left for work but never returned home. His nephew, Rakesh, grew worried and called the company, only to learn that Vikram had left at 9 AM.

Three days passed without any trace of Vikram. On July 28, Soni filed a missing person report at the Udyog Vihar police station. However, her behavior raised suspicions among the family. When questioned, she accused her neighbor and Vikram's friend, Ravinder, of the murder, claiming he had blackmailed her with a video.

A Sinister Plot

The police quickly detained Ravinder. During intense questioning, he revealed that he worked in vehicle rentals and had an affair with Soni. They feared their secret would be exposed after Vikram's daughter discovered inappropriate videos of her mother on Ravinder's phone. Terrified of societal backlash and the potential collapse of their families, they conspired to eliminate Vikram.

To ensure their plan was foolproof, they repeatedly watched the Bollywood film 'Drishyam' and several episodes of 'Crime Patrol' to avoid mistakes that could lead to police suspicion. On July 26, Ravinder, along with three accomplices, kidnapped Vikram, strangled him with a rope, and buried his body in a pit near the Mohammadpur village in Gurugram, which had been previously dug by Ravinder's uncle, Santarpal.

The Aftermath

Santarpal, who worked with livestock, was persuaded by Ravinder to dig the pit. After the murder, Ravinder and his associates took the body to Santarpal, who helped them bury it. Throughout this, Soni remained in constant contact with Ravinder, seeking updates on the situation.

To mislead the police, Soni initially reported Vikram as missing and later falsely accused Ravinder of rape to complicate matters. However, a small mistake led to the unraveling of their conspiracy. The police, following Ravinder's lead, discovered the body. Investigations revealed that Soni had fabricated the rape story merely to divert police attention. Subsequently, Ravinder's accomplices, Manish and Fariyad, were also arrested. Both hailed from the Hastinapur area in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and were involved in the murder at Ravinder's behest. The police, with assistance from the Hastinapur station, apprehended them from their village. Further legal actions are underway.
