Shocking Murder in Bihar: Revenge Leads to Tragic Death
Brutal Murder Linked to Long-standing Grudge
In a shocking incident in Shivhar, Bihar, a man brutally murdered a young individual, allegedly driven by a desire for revenge stemming from his father's death a decade ago. The victim was killed when the opportunity arose.
This gruesome murder took place in the Tariyani Chapra police station area of Shivhar district, where a 35-year-old man was killed due to an old feud. The police discovered the body in a wheat field near the Muzaffarpur-Shivhar border. The deceased has been identified as Vinod Rai, son of Kishori Rai, a resident of Ganga Dharampur Ward No. 6.
Revenge Fueled by Past Incidents
According to family members, in 2017, Vinod Rai had laid electric wires for irrigation in his field, which led to the accidental death of Arun Kumar's father. This incident sparked a long-standing dispute between the two families. Vinod's brother, Subodh Kumar, claimed that Arun Kumar had repeatedly threatened Vinod's life. Arun Kumar allegedly lured Vinod to Gangti Bazaar in the neighboring Muzaffarpur district, where they consumed drugs together.
Multiple Stab Wounds Inflicted
Reports indicate that late at night, Arun Kumar took Vinod to a nearby area and stabbed him multiple times with a knife. The body showed several wounds, and it was later found with its throat slit, discarded in the field. Arun then fled to his sister's home in Gidda Fulwariya. Upon receiving the news, SDPO Sushil Kumar and Tariyani Chapra police station chief Ranjit Kumar Gupta, along with a large police force, arrived at the scene, seized the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
The police acted swiftly, apprehending Arun Kumar and his sister Poonia Devi, also known as Punita, from Gidda Fulwariya village in the Sitamarhi district for questioning. Tensions have escalated in the village following the incident, with the victim's wife, Sanjana Devi, and father Kishori Rai in deep distress. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation and have assured that appropriate legal actions will be taken.
