Tragic Incident in Andhra Pradesh

A horrifying incident has emerged from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where a married Indian Navy employee allegedly murdered his former girlfriend. Following the crime, he dismembered her body into five parts, concealing three pieces in a refrigerator and a suitcase, while incinerating the remaining two. The police have apprehended the suspect and are currently interrogating him.

Details of the Crime

According to law enforcement, the accused ordered a knife online to commit the act. After the murder, he stored some body parts in a refrigerator and burned the head and hands in a vacant area near Adavivaram last Sunday. The suspect has been identified as Ravindra, 30, who is stationed at INS Dega.

How They Met

The victim has been identified as Monica, 31, who resided in the Tatichetla Palem area of Visakhapatnam. Ravindra had been in contact with her since 2021 after they met through a dating app. Over time, their relationship deepened, and they frequently met at various locations in Visakhapatnam, including parks and theaters.

Threats and Tensions

In 2024, Ravindra married another woman. According to police officials, he claimed that Monica had been threatening to inform his wife about their relationship. Additionally, she had borrowed 350,000 rupees from him. This led to frequent arguments, ultimately resulting in his decision to plot her murder.

The Murder and Dismemberment

The police arrested Ravindra and are conducting further inquiries. On the day of the incident, he invited Monica to his flat in the Gajuwaka area of Visakhapatnam, where a heated argument ensued. He then strangled her to death.

Afterward, he used the knife he had ordered online to dismember her body into five parts. He disposed of the head and hands in the Simhachalam area while keeping the torso in the refrigerator and hiding the waist and legs in a suitcase.

A Disturbing Parallel

This case echoes the brutal murder of Shraddha Walker, which occurred on May 18, 2022. In that incident, her live-in partner, Aftab, allegedly strangled her and dismembered her body, hiding the pieces in a refrigerator and disposing of them in various locations around the capital to avoid detection.
