Tragic Incident in Gondikheda Charan

Dhar News: Remember the Raja Raghuwanshi case from Indore? A similarly disturbing story has emerged from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. Here, a woman named Priyanka allegedly orchestrated the murder of her husband for her lover. She even attempted to mislead the police, but her plan was soon uncovered. This incident took place in Gondikheda Charan village, located about 60 kilometers from Dhar, on the night of April 7, and it is truly chilling.

The victim, Devkrishna Purohit, a chili trader, was brutally murdered. The police managed to crack the case within hours. Investigations revealed that Priyanka had conspired with her lover to carry out the crime. On the night of the incident, Priyanka reported to the police that unknown assailants had broken into their home, killed her husband, and robbed them of gold, silver jewelry, and cash, making it appear as a robbery.

Under the guidance of Dhar SP Mayank Awasthi, ASP Parul Belapurkar and SDOP Vishwadeep Singh Parihar began their investigation, quickly noticing inconsistencies in Priyanka's story. With the help of fingerprint experts and a dog squad, the cyber cell examined Priyanka's call records, leading to growing suspicions against her. During a psychological interrogation, Priyanka eventually confessed to her involvement in the crime.

Love Affair and a Deadly Conspiracy

Priyanka revealed that she had been in a romantic relationship with Kamlesh Purohit from Rajgarh for some time. To eliminate her husband, Kamlesh had paid his accomplice Surendra Bhati a sum of 1 lakh rupees. After the murder, they staged the scene to look like a robbery by scattering household items.

Demands for Justice

The family of the deceased, Devkrishna, is devastated. His mother, Lakshmibai, and sister, Jyoti, shared that he had been married for 11 years, and Priyanka's 'Gouna' took place in 2021. However, she had never settled well in the household, often causing disputes due to her insistence on using her mobile phone and her tendency to run away to her parental home. Now, the family is demanding the death penalty for the accused. The police have arrested Priyanka and her lover Kamlesh, while the accomplice Surendra remains at large, with police teams actively searching for him.
