Shocking Knife Attack in Delhi: A Night of Violence Unfolds
Incident Overview
Delhi Crime News: In the stillness of the night, while the neighborhood was fast asleep, a violent incident erupted in a home located in the Mohan Garden area. This alarming event took place between the night of July 7 and the early hours of July 8, 2025. A PCR call was received at the Mohan Garden police station reporting a stabbing. The police quickly arrived at the scene, where they found a man in critical condition, later identified as 30-year-old Gautam.
The Sequence of Events
Gautam recounted to the police that he had traveled to Ujjain with two friends, Sandeep Tiwari and Sipattar Singh, on July 2. After spending two days there, they returned to Delhi on July 4. On the night of July 7, around 11 PM, Sandeep visited Gautam's home, followed shortly by Rajesh. Not long after, Sipattar arrived and began arguing with Sandeep. Gautam and Rajesh intervened to calm the situation and sent Sipattar away, but the trouble was far from over.
The Attack
At approximately 11:15 PM, Sipattar returned, this time armed with a knife. Without uttering a word, he attacked Sandeep Tiwari, inflicting serious injuries. Sandeep was rushed to DDU Hospital for emergency treatment. Meanwhile, the police received reports of an unidentified individual being brought in deceased. The victim was later identified as 55-year-old Sandeep Tiwari. The Mohan Garden police registered a murder case under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code on July 8 and initiated an investigation.
Police Investigation
A special team was formed under Inspector Mukesh Antil, including Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar, ASI Sunil Kumar, ASI Pradeep, Head Constable Kaptaan Singh, and Naresh. Utilizing mobile surveillance, the team tracked the suspect's location and began their search. The suspects frequently changed locations, moving from Bareilly to Badaun. Eventually, their whereabouts were traced to Haridwar, prompting the police to follow suit.
Arrest and Confession
Ultimately, the team's efforts paid off when they apprehended 28-year-old Sipattar, also known as Raju. During interrogation, he confessed to his crime, explaining that he had stabbed Sandeep in a fit of rage following an argument. The police also recovered the knife used in the murder from his possession.
