A shocking incident has emerged from Kerala, where a young woman was subjected to severe physical and mental abuse by her partner and his family under the guise of black magic. The accused claimed that the woman was possessed by a spirit, necessitating a ritual to expel it.

According to police reports, a young man, his father, and a practitioner of black magic have been arrested. This incident occurred last week when the man's family summoned the practitioner to perform rituals on the woman. The victim recounted that the ordeal began at 11 AM and continued late into the night.

During the ritual, she was coerced into smoking a bidi and consuming alcohol. Additionally, she was forced to ingest ashes mixed with vermilion and was burned with hot sunlight. Due to the continuous torture, her condition deteriorated, leading her to lose consciousness. Concerned about her health, her father reported the matter to the police, who subsequently arrested the three main suspects. However, the young man's mother, who initiated the ritual, remains at large.
