Shocking Incident in Udaipur: CEO and Associates Arrested for Alleged Gang Rape
Details of the Arrest
In a disturbing case from Udaipur, Rajasthan, three individuals, including the CEO of a private IT firm, have been taken into custody for the alleged gang rape of a female manager following a birthday celebration. The police confirmed the arrests on Friday.
The incident reportedly occurred after a birthday party hosted by CEO Jitesh Sisodia last Saturday, where the victim was also present.
The other two suspects include a female executive from the company and her spouse, Gaurav Sirohi, who hails from Meerut.
All three were apprehended on Thursday and subsequently presented in court, where they were remanded to four days of police custody.
Udaipur's Superintendent of Police, Yogesh Goyal, stated, "The arrests were made after a case was filed at the Sukher police station under applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. They were brought before the court and placed in police remand for four days."
According to the victim's account, she was left alone as guests departed after the party. The female executive then offered her a ride home, accompanied by Sisodia and Sirohi.
During the journey, they allegedly purchased a substance resembling cigarettes and offered it to her. After consuming it, she reportedly lost consciousness and awoke the next morning to discover she had been sexually assaulted.
Following the woman's report, a case was initiated, leading to the detention and arrest of the three suspects after thorough questioning, as per police statements.
The victim underwent a medical examination, and her statements were documented. The investigation has been assigned to Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma.
