Jaipur: A shocking incident has emerged from Jalore district in Rajasthan, where a man attacked his mother-in-law due to a family dispute. The accused used scissors to inflict harm, severing her nose. Following the attack, he fled the scene with the severed part. Reports indicate that the mother-in-law was on her way to file a complaint with the police regarding the ongoing family conflict when the assault occurred. Authorities have stated that they are actively searching for the suspect.


Ongoing Family Dispute

The incident took place in Bandha village of Dungri in Jalore district. The accused has been identified as Sohanlal. According to police reports, Sohanlal has had a long-standing feud with his wife's family. The couple, married for nearly six years, has been living separately for the past year. Despite multiple attempts by the community to mediate, the disputes remained unresolved. Tensions had been escalating between the two families for several days, with arguments occurring even on Saturday evening.


Accused Flees with Severed Nose

On Saturday evening, the victim, Keli Devi, was heading to the local police station to file a complaint against her son-in-law, Sohanlal. During this time, he attacked her with scissors, resulting in the severing of her nose. After the incident, he fled the scene with the severed part. The Sarwana police station chief, Mohanlal, confirmed that a case has been registered and that efforts to locate the accused are underway. He also mentioned that the family has taken the woman to Mehsana in Gujarat for medical treatment, and statements from the woman and her family have yet to be recorded.
