A shocking incident has emerged from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, where a young man, influenced by superstition, along with his accomplices, extracted a skull from a burning pyre. The police have apprehended three suspects, including a sorcerer, in connection with this bizarre act. This incident took place in the rural area of Hapur, where reports of tampering with a cremation pyre surfaced three days ago, causing widespread alarm in the community.
Accused Takes Skull from the Pyre
Investigations revealed that the main suspect, Aman, was infatuated with a girl and sought the help of a sorcerer to win her and her family's favor. The sorcerer, Avadhesh Sharma, advised him to retrieve a skull from a pyre, leading to the orchestration of this shocking plot. It has been reported that the pyre in question belonged to 16-year-old Shubanshu, who had passed away due to illness. After the cremation, as the family departed, the accused seized the opportunity to steal the remains.
Over 50 Photos Recovered
Based on CCTV footage, the police successfully arrested the three suspects. They also recovered over 50 photographs of individuals, which were allegedly used in their sorcery practices. Authorities stated that the body had been completely cremated, and the suspects only took bones and ashes. The police are currently investigating how many other individuals may have fallen victim to similar scams orchestrated by the accused.
