Tragic Event in Shyamiwala Village

Bijnor: A shocking incident unfolded on the night of August 7 in Shyamiwala village, located in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district. A 56-year-old mother committed an act that left the community in disbelief. Her 32-year-old son, Ashok, was an unmarried man struggling with alcohol addiction.

On that fateful night, Ashok was fast asleep in his home. His mother, who had silently endured her son's disgraceful behavior for years, had been harboring a disturbing secret. Ashok, in a drunken stupor, attempted to assault her once again. This time, however, the mother’s pent-up anger erupted. Grabbing a sickle nearby, she launched a fatal attack on Ashok, resulting in his immediate death.

Repeated Abuse
After the attack, the mother tried to mislead the villagers by claiming that robbers had invaded their home. However, the police grew suspicious of her story. Upon rigorous questioning by the local police, she confessed the truth: Ashok had sexually assaulted her multiple times while under the influence of alcohol. Fearing social stigma, she had remained silent until that night when her patience finally snapped, leading her to take her son's life in a fit of rage and despair.

Investigation Underway
Law enforcement officials recovered blood-stained clothing and the sickle used in the murder based on the mother’s guidance. Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Vajpayee confirmed that a case has been registered against her under the Indian Penal Code, and she has been taken into custody.
