Shocking Incident at Saharanpur Junction: Toddler Kidnapped from Train
Kidnapping Incident on Train
A startling incident has emerged from Saharanpur Junction railway station, where a woman boarded the Howrah-Amritsar Mail train with her husband and their two-year-old daughter at midnight. Shortly after boarding, the family fell asleep. However, chaos erupted at around 12:30 AM when the couple was approached by the Government Railway Police (GRP), inquiring about their situation. They revealed that their daughter had been kidnapped from the train. The couple explained that they were asleep in the sleeper coach when two women in burqas abducted their daughter, Naira, as the train arrived at Saharanpur station.
This incident occurred on train number 13005, the Howrah Mail. The couple, traveling from Dhampur to Punjab, discovered their daughter was missing when they woke up at Jagadhari station. They immediately reported the situation to the Jagadhari railway police. Investigations revealed that their daughter had been taken by two women in burqas at Saharanpur station, a fact confirmed by the victim after reviewing CCTV footage.
The victim, identified as Neha, shared that she and her family boarded the train at 11 PM from Dhampur. She mentioned that they mistakenly entered a reserved coach and settled down to sleep. Neha's husband was using his phone when he too fell asleep. Around 12:30 AM, Neha woke up to find her daughter beside her, but when she opened her eyes again before Ambala, Naira was gone. They searched the entire train but could not find her.
Neha recounted that they encountered two police officers and explained the situation. A passenger seated near them informed that a woman had approached their daughter, patted her head, and then carried her off the train at Saharanpur station. The police were notified, and Neha and her husband accompanied them to Saharanpur station, where they reviewed CCTV footage showing two women in burqas leaving with their daughter.
