Lucknow News: A horrifying case of gang rape has emerged from the Ashiyana area of Lucknow, where a 13-year-old girl was assaulted in an under-construction building on Tuesday night. The main suspect, a 17-year-old acquaintance of the victim, was accompanied by four other minors. Local residents apprehended all five suspects and handed them over to the police. The victim hails from Kannauj district.
The girl's family resides in a rented accommodation in the Ashiyana area. Her father works as a mason, while her mother is employed as a domestic worker. According to her brother, the girl went to help her mother with household chores due to her mother's illness. While returning home around 8:30 PM, she sought shelter in the construction site from an unexpected storm. It was during this time that the main accused and his friends arrived, took her hostage, bound her hands and feet, assaulted her, and then raped her.
When the girl did not return home late into the night, her family began searching for her. They heard cries coming from the construction site. Upon arrival, they found her in a distressed state, with her limbs tied. The suspects attempted to flee, with two of them jumping from the roof and sustaining injuries. The family raised an alarm, attracting nearby residents who managed to corner and capture all five suspects.
All Suspects Detained
Local residents promptly informed the police control room. Officers from the Ashiyana police station arrived at the scene and took all five minors into custody. The victim was rushed to Lokbandhu Hospital for treatment. During questioning, she revealed that the main suspect was known to her and was the first to assault her, with the others assisting him. Based on her statement, a case has been registered at the Ashiyana police station.
Police Statement
DCP Vikrant Veer arrived at the scene. A forensic team collected crucial evidence from the site. The police have initiated questioning of all suspects. They reported that they received a call via Dial-112 on Tuesday night and promptly dispatched a team to the location. Investigations are ongoing.
