A shocking double murder has occurred in the Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. In the village of Bachhaipur, a man brutally killed his wife and mother-in-law by slitting their throats. The assailant also attacked his father-in-law and their three-year-old son, injuring them. The injured father-in-law has been referred to Varanasi for treatment. Antu Gupta (55), a resident of Bachhaipur, had married his daughter Preeti (22) to Amit Gupta from the Singhachwar area a few years ago. Due to ongoing disputes in her marital home, Preeti had been living with her parents along with her son for several months. Amit entered the house through the roof, supported by a neighbor's wall, and launched a knife attack on his wife Preeti, mother-in-law Sushila, father-in-law Antu, and his son Avi. Except for Avi, all three were severely injured. They were rushed to the district hospital around 3:00 AM, where doctors pronounced Preeti and Sushila dead. Antu was referred to Varanasi for further treatment. The police are actively searching for the suspect.
