A Disturbing Turn in Marital Relationships

The bond between husband and wife is often described as lasting through seven lifetimes, yet some individuals seem intent on tarnishing this sacred relationship. Historically, there have been numerous reports of wives facing abuse, but recent incidents reveal a troubling trend where husbands are now the victims. Cases involving Nikita, Muskaan, and Sonam Raghuwanshi have drawn attention, highlighting situations where husbands have taken drastic measures due to their wives' actions. A recent incident from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, illustrates this alarming shift, where a husband claims his wife has threatened his life after she became a nurse and ended their 11-year marriage.

The distressed husband has filed a complaint against his wife, seeking police protection. Sant Pal reported to the authorities, stating, "I invested in my wife's education, spending 5 lakh on her nursing course. As soon as she secured a job, she left me and is now living with her boyfriend. She even wants to kill me."

This incident occurred in the Majhola police jurisdiction. Sant Pal married Pummy Sagar in 2014, and they have two children together. Their relationship seemed stable until Pummy expressed a desire to pursue further education. Sant Pal supported her ambitions, financing her nursing studies. However, after she landed a job as an ANM, she reportedly became involved with a colleague named Manoj.

Allegations of Violence

Upon discovering the affair, Sant Pal confronted Pummy. In a bid to mislead her husband, Pummy filed a case against Manoj in 2023, but it was merely a facade as she continued her relationship with him. This led to frequent disputes at home. Sant Pal has accused Pummy's brothers of assaulting him, claiming they attacked him on June 21, with Pummy herself stating that she no longer has feelings for him.

Threat to Life

Based on Sant Pal's complaint, a case of assault has been registered against Pummy and her two brothers. The situation has escalated to the point where Pummy continues to reside in their home, while Sant Pal has sought refuge in a rented accommodation for his safety. He expressed his fears, stating, "I believe my wife will kill me, and I urgently need protection."
