Crime News

In a shocking incident in the Kolala village of Koratagere, Tumakuru district, Karnataka, the dismembered body of a woman was discovered, causing widespread alarm. Authorities reported that the body parts were found stuffed in multiple plastic bags and discarded by the roadside. Upon receiving the report, local police swiftly arrived at the scene. The officers were taken aback when they opened the bags, prompting an immediate investigation.

On August 7, passersby spotted body parts in seven plastic bags along the road and alerted the police. Following this, the Koratagere police launched a search operation and recovered seven additional bags on August 8, which contained the remaining body parts and the woman's head. An official from the investigation team indicated that the woman's identity has been tentatively established based on the head, but formal confirmation is still pending.

Special Team Formed for Investigation

On Friday, Tumakuru's Superintendent of Police, Ashok KV, announced the formation of a special team to conduct searches in Kolala village and its surroundings. According to the officer, it is possible that the perpetrator transported the dismembered body parts by car and discarded them in various locations along the road connecting Chimpuganahalli and Venkapura villages.

Police Suspicions

Authorities suspect that the woman was murdered elsewhere before her body was dismembered and disposed of in this area. Heavy rainfall on Saturday hampered the search for the remaining body parts. The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to identify the assailants. The motive behind the woman's murder remains unclear, as does the identity of those responsible for this gruesome act.

Elderly Woman Murder Case

In a separate incident in the Bodam area of East Singhbhum, three women were involved in the brutal murder of an elderly woman using a sickle. This case is being linked to witchcraft allegations. The incident occurred in the Dhobani forest, located 22 kilometers from Jamshedpur. Police recovered the body of Bhavi Singh (60) on Tuesday evening and sent it for autopsy. Following a written statement from the victim's middle son, Sudhir Singh, the Bodam police station chief, Manohar Kumar, registered a murder case and initiated an investigation.
