A Disturbing Incident Unfolds

Many couples dream of having children and a happy family, but this does not justify any extreme actions taken in pursuit of that dream. Unfortunately, there are individuals who, driven by superstition and personal gain, engage in horrific acts. A recent case from Uttar Pradesh exemplifies this, involving a husband who committed a shocking act with his wife in their desperate desire for a child.

The incident began when a married woman approached the police, stating that her marriage had lasted for a year and a half. Initially, everything seemed fine, but as time passed without a child, her in-laws' behavior changed dramatically.

Husband's Cruelty and Manipulation
The woman alleged that her husband began to mentally and physically abuse her due to their inability to conceive. He would insult her, beat her, and force himself upon her. Furthermore, she claimed that he took her to a local sorcerer in Asad Nagar, promising that treatment there would lead to them having children.

Drugged and Assaulted
The victim recounted that her husband brought her to a sorcerer named Girdhari, where several of his acquaintances were already present. The sorcerer informed her that to conceive, she would need to engage in relations with another man. Subsequently, she was given a drug that rendered her unconscious. Upon regaining consciousness, she realized that she had been assaulted by two strangers. When she confided in her mother-in-law and sister-in-law about the ordeal, she expected their support, but instead faced disbelief, insults, and was physically thrown out of the house.

Seeking Justice
After this traumatic experience, the woman returned to her parental home and disclosed everything to her parents. They subsequently filed a formal complaint at the police station. Based on her report, the police have registered a case against the sorcerer Girdhari, her husband, and four other individuals.
